Dear esteemed art collectors, architects, interior designers, members of the shipping industry, and valued clients of EURAN European Art Networks,

Today, we are thrilled to introduce you to our newest creative partner, a highly specialized photographer who has captured the essence of the maritime industry like no other – Mr. George Giannakis. With over two decades of experience in the shipping industry, George and his team of imaginative professionals have consistently delivered awe-inspiring maritime photography and cinematography.

BIOGRAPHY

George Giannakis was born in 1977 in Piraeus, the maritime heart of the Mediterranean. His passion for photography ignited at a young age, with his first maritime-themed photographs being taken at the tender age of 12. Descending from a seafaring family and being the son of a ferry captain, George's connection to the maritime world runs deep.

Early Beginnings and Recognition

His remarkable journey in the world of photography began when his work caught the attention of "Efoplistis," Greece's premier maritime publication known for its creative photography. In 1994, George's photos were published in Efoplistis, setting the stage for an illustrious career in the industry.

Professional Growth

The following year, he was hired as an assistant photographer, tasked with capturing stunning aerial shots of Agapitos lines Naias Express.

Collaboration with Major Greek Ferry Operators

The turning point in George's career came in 2002 when Blue Star Ferries sought his talent to photograph their brand new vessels, Blue Star Paros and Blue Star Naxos, from the skies. This opportunity opened doors for him to work with major Greek ferry operators, including names that are now part of maritime history, such as NEL Lines, Endeavor Lines, GA Ferries, Agoudimos Lines, and Kallisti Ferries.

Expanding the Portfolio

George's expertise extends beyond ferry operators. His diverse clientele includes port authorities, shipyards, ship owners, and ship managers. Renowned companies like Neda Maritime Agency, Top Ships, Seaven, and Minerva Ship Management have all benefited from George's skillful lens.

International Recognition

One of the highlights of George's career has been his long-standing collaboration with Shippax, a prestigious Swedish Publishing House specializing in ferry and cruise shipping. Since 2001, his breathtaking images have graced the pages of Shippax Info, the monthly magazine. Moreover, he has been responsible for the annual publications, Shippax Guide, Shippax Designs, and Shippax Market, which feature theme ships and are richly illustrated. His exceptional work has been showcased in annuals featuring renowned vessels such as Megastar, W.B. Yeats, MSC Seaside, Color Hybrid, Visborg, Stena Edda, and Eco Livorno.
